Three of my friends went out one last time before our friend (Sandra Taylor)had her baby..I have to say we had the best time we laughed so hard (at each other) that I thought Sandra was going to go into labor. We went out to eat and then went to the mall and went by a store that sold prom dresses and what was so funny was that none of us said anything we just looked at each other and smiled. We all knew what the other was thinking!! So we went in a tried on prom dresses and YES they did have dresses in our size even for the Sandra!! Then we got pedicures and went shopping!! SOOO much fun!!!

Oh and let me just add after you look at the pitcures PLEASE dont think that we thought we looked good!! What was funny was that half of us got the dress on but couldnt zip it all the way up in the back...

Yep Lane is now in the double digits! How did time go by so fast that he is now 10. I cant help but think that in 6 more years he will be driving and in 10 more years my baby boy will be 20! I seriously could cry thinking about it. I took cupcakes to school for his birthday and then we went to my parents house,Brent's parents came also and we have pizza and cake. Lane wanted a DSI and of course he got it!! We cant forget about Sara Beth she got a Justin Bieber cd that kid loves JB!! I found some photos of Lane the day he was born and just cant believe he was that small and now he is almost as tall as me! I think God so much for blessing me and Brent with a health boy and letting us be Lanes parents!!

Mardi Gras!!! Once again the GNO was awesome!!! We had some really really good food to eat at this GNO! The theme for this GNO was Mardi Gras!! The contest for this one was.. Most Beads... Best Mask... And Best Over All!! The winners are!!!!!

GNO Painting Party

We started back up with our girls night out! For January we thought we would do something different so we had a painting party! Oh my goodness it was so much fun! I'm one that cant draw a straight line with a ruler but I was willing to give it a shoot! And much to my surprise it didn't look that bad! Although when I got home Sara Beth said "momma I love your four leaf clover." but the picture was supposed to be a polka dotted cross!! We have a lot of fun stuff planned for our GNO 2011!!!

We went to a birthday party last week in Franklin at a place called Glow Galaxy! It was really neat place. It's a lot like Bounce U with black lights! The kids had a great time!

We have had so much snow here in Tennessee and its only January!! The kids have loved all the snow! We got out on one of the first snow day and played all day it was so much fun!! The school system used there last snow day today which means any more snow days will have to be made up!

New Years Eve

This was the first time in 6 years that we went out on New Years eve and not spent it at the Church with our Youth Group!! We got a babysitter and went out with two other couples we had the BEST time!! Nothing to wild after all we had a pregnant lady with us!! We started the night out at Samurai in Murfreesboro the food was awesome then we went bowling, and ended the night at Dairy Queen (per the pregnant women's request.)

We hope everyone had a great Christmas!! We sure did it started Christmas eve when we went to my Mom and Dad's house and let the kids open there gifts from the Grandparents and there Aunt and Uncles!! That alone was way more gifts then the kids needed!! After that we head home to get ready for the " Big Guy" it was so nice to start new memories in our new house!! We had a little bit of trouble getting the kids to go to sleep Christmas eve so much so that Santa almost didn't get to come. I think Santa came around 7:30am Christmas morning (talk about cutting it close)!! The Kids would wake up every time that heard something!! So needless to say we didn't get much sleep but that's okay! I'm sure we will get lots of sleep once the kids are grown and out of the house and we will be wishing for Christmas eve's like this one!! We had our Christmas that morning and then our friends came over and the kids exchanged there gifts we all had breakfast together and played games and had a great time. Christmas night Brent's family came over and we all played more games and just enjoyed spending time together!! I took a ton of photos so be ready for picture overload!!!

Basketball

Basketball has come to an end for us. Both Lane and Sara Beth did so well!! Sara Beth's team won 1st in the season and 2nd in the tournament!! Lane's team won 1st in both season and tournament!! Lane also got to try out for the 5th and 6th grade team even though he is only in 4th grade and made the team so those games start up at the first of the year!!!

Today is Sara Beth's 8th Birthday BUT we started celebrating it yesterday with a trip to El Mexico after Church. We are going to my mom & dads house tonight for dinner and cake and to let her open all her gifts and then this coming weekend we are having a birthday party/sleepover for her so we will be celebrating all week long!!!! I cant believe that my baby girl is already 8!!!

We let the kids carve there pumpkins and it seems that me and Brent always end up doing them. The kids only last about 5mins and they get board with it. Brent found a new way of carving pumpkins this year and at first I made fun of him but it ended up working real well!!!

The first of the year about 11 of my girlfriend got the great idea that we would have a G.N.O (girls nite out) once a month and have a different theme each time. It has been soooo much for just to get together and hang out. We actually don't even go out anywhere just go to whomsoever house its at that month and play game...The last G.N.O was this past Saturday and It was 80's night!! Even though I was born in 1980 I was more of a 90's girls so I had to do a little research on what people looked like in the 80's. I must have gotten the make-up part right bc I won for best 80's make-up!!!

And since the cook out was last min I didn't have him a cake so I had to make one and use what candles I had... you can laugh!!! We took a short trip to Holiday World we had the best time just the 4 of us. We were not sure if we were going to get to go b/c of Lanes elbow and his cast but we were able to get a water proof cast and let me just say that's the best thing since slice bread.. He could do anything that had to do with water even take a shower!!!

Well once again I have not posted anything in a while. I'm going to try to play catch up with my photos I'm not going to post a lot just a little bit about what the photos are about..I'm going to start with the kids photos of the first day of school

and yes that is a cast on lane arm...A few weeks before school started back he thought it would be fun to jump off the deck railing onto the trampoline. After doing so he sprung so high that he feel on the ground and broke his elbow and had to wear that cast for 5 weeks.. The same week as the broken elbow Lane also got braces that he will wear for 1 year!!!

Lanes baseball team took 1st place in the season and in the tournament this year!!! The team won EVERY game that they played and those boys and one girl played there hearts out every time they got on the Field... Lane did such a good job this year he was ask to play on the all star team for Unionville (as the teams short stop)...Way to go Lane!!!! Wax Museum

The 3rd graders at Community school put together a wax museum last night. These boys and girls have been working so hard on this for the last month. Each child had to pick one Historical Figure and put together a time line, a short report on that person accomplishments and also dress like that person. This counted as a BIG part of there history grade for the last 6 weeks!!! Lane picked Elvis I was so proud of him, he did really well on the time line and his report!! Lane had so much fun I told Brent that Lane may grow up and be an Elvis Impersonator in Vegas!!! ( I know thats every mothers dream for there children)

Sunday after Church we went to my mom and dad's house for my dad's 76th birthday..We had pizza and cake..The kids love to go to Nanna and Poppy's house!!! I think they like going there bc they get to do WHATEVER they want to!!!

Spring Break

Lane and Sara Beth had Spring Break last week. Me and Brent both had to work but we took Friday off to spend time with the kids. We had one of our youth from church come stay with the kids while they were out. I think they had a good week we tried to keep them busy. The babysitter took them to the park in Eaglveille one day and went swimming and they even went to a camp out at a friends house one night... On Friday we went to the park in M'boro with some dear friends and there two children!!!

While we were at the park Sara Beth took my camera and took some pictures. She didn't notice while she was taking the pictures that the cover for the camera was still half way on!!! So here is the out come of her picture taking!!!!

We had a great Easter at the Stacy house..It was one of the prettiest Easter that I can remember that we have had in several years.. We took full advantage of it.. Sara Beth is in the play Annie at Riverdale High School this weekend. She is one of the Orphans. Opening night was last night all the kids are doing a great job. They all have been working on it since the week they got back from Christmas break!!! This is the first play Sara Beth has ever done and she LOVES it!!! We may have a little star on our hands..If anyone wants to come the play is tonight and Saturday at 7 and then on Sunday at 2..

Lane's Birthday Party

My baby turns 9 years old on Tuesday.. So this past weekend we went to the park in Eagleville and took some of Lanes friends from school with us. It was such a nice day to be outside and we all had so much fun.. The boys had there bikes and there rip sticks and that keep them busy for a while and then we played a baseball game of parents vs. kids..(I bet you can guess who won that game).. It was all I could do to get out of bed Sunday for Church!!!We had Pizza and cake there and Lane opened up his gifts..He got and ipod from us and a new ds game and $75 dollars from his other friends!! After we spend most of the day there we loaded up and went back to our house and we roost hot dogs and had smores...It was a prefect day..Lane we love you so much and I cant wait to see what the next 9 years holds for you...

Thank you Lord for blessing my family with such a sweet, Healthy boy!!

Happy 7th Birthday to our Sara Beth!! We just love having you in our family and the energetic, fun, smart, sweet, silly, spunky, and loving little person that you are!! Our family just wouldn't be the same without you!! We love you so much and hope you had a very special 7th birthday!!

Sara Beth had been asking for a easy bake oven FOREVER.. I finally gave in and got her one...It looks like its going to be a big mess but she should have fun making the mess!!!

Sunday was Sara Beth's birthday..We started the day off by opening up her gifts from us then went to church. After Church Lane had a basketball game and then the awards for basketball then we had to hurry to the church for the Church Christmas play and we ended the nite with dinner and El Mexico!!!

The kids had a great season in ball this year..Lanes team finished 1st in the season and 1st in the tournaments.. Sara Beth's team....well lets just say they didn't finish 1st but the girls all had a great time playing ball and they were so funny to watch...Way to go Lane and Sara Beth y'all did great!!!

The Christmas play at our church EL Bethel was great. The children have worked so hard on the play for the past 3 months and it showed Sunday night... Lane had a lead in the play and I think he will follow in his dads footsteps and be in drama when he gets in high school...

Heavy Hearts

I know that its been a while since my last post.. I was going to post today about Halloween and Thanksgiving and even put some new pictures up...But I got a call this morning that made all that stuff seem not so important...If you remember on one of my last post I had ask for prayer for little Morgan Mayo she was needing a new heart...Well I got the call this morning that Morgan went to be with Jesus last night at 11:45.. My heart just breaks for that family has they deal with the loss of sweet little Morgan...So many times I think "why would God take a sweet little baby from her mother and father" but I know that EVERYTHING works out for the goodness and glory of God.. He has a plan we don't know what it is now...But his plane will show one day...To read the whole story on Morgan's life go here Morgan Mayo
Please stop what you are doing and pray for this family...My heart is so heavy for this sweet family now and prayers are the best thing we can do for them....Thanks

Pumpkin patch & Carving

Well we went to the Pumpkin patch AGAIN yesterday with our church. I have to say we had more fun yesterday then when we went with Sara Beth's class. The weather was great and they had more things open for the kids to do.. But I don't think I can handle anymore pumpkin patches this year!!!

Thursday I went to Sara Beth's school and helped her class carve pumpkins..The teacher spilt the kids up in small groups to make it easier for each kid to get a turn in helping carve the pumpkin. I let Sara Beth's group pick out witch pattern they wanted to do.. Her group picked out the hardest pattern in the book.. so by the time it was all said and done our pumpkin looked nothing like the pattern but we had fun trying!!! Since I was the carver I was only able to get two pictures!!

Prayer Request

Please pray for little Morgan Mayo. Her parents are Payton & Kelly Mayo. Mrs. Mayo was Sara Beth's Kindergarten teacher. There family needs all prayers sent there way. Morgan is going to be placed on a transplant list for a new heart. That's really all I know now. I'll post more when I hear from Ms. Mayo!!!!

Me and Mindi had to go to Atlanta last weekend for work... I have to say now that Mindi is working with me and she goes to Atlanta with me it is much more fun to go!!We had so much fun even if it was for work!!!!

Birthday's and School Time!!!

Sunday was Brent's 31st birthday. I have to say I forgot all about it until Sunday morning when we were getting ready for church. We couldn't really do much to celebrate bc we had so much to do Sunday between church and open house at the school. So Brent's mom cooked dinner and we went over there after church Sunday nite...It was pretty funny bc she didn't have any candles and all I had was a number 3 and one candles witch worked out because after all he is 31 now so we used them...(see the cake below)can we say REDNECK!!!! Happy Birthday Brent you are a great dad and husband and me and the kids love you so much!!!

Like I said Sunday was open house at school. This is when we find out who is Lane and Sara Beth's teacher... Sara Beth got Ms. Thompson we were very happy about that and Lane got Ms. Lapress we really don't know much about her so we hope everything goes well this year with Lane. Lane also is in a class where he doesn't know anyone.. so its time to make new friends. But Lane is so much like his dad, he could make friends with a fence post!!!

Holiday World

On Tuesday we went with some friends to Holiday World. It was just a one day trip but we all had so much fun... If you have kids this place is a must go there... The Kids all loved it.. They have three wooden roller coaster... Lane was tall enough to ride them but I really didn't think that he would but that boy got on them with out even thinking about it....Enjoy the pictures!!!

Church Camp

Lane went to Church Camp for the first time yesterday. He will be gone for 3 days. I really didn't want him to go I wanted him to wait 1 more year before he went..but he just keep on and on.. So I gave in and let him go.. I was in bed on Sunday night talking to Brent about Camp and started to cry.. I just cant believe that he is now old enough to go somewhere like that by himself.. I know it will be good for him and I know he will have a great time. But I cant wait until he gets home Wednesday. I think I have text one of the leaders that went with them about 35 times already.. Sara Beth is loving being a "only child" for a few days.. Several people have ask her if she missed her brother and she has been very quick to say "NO".. She is one funny little girl...Here are a few of the picture I took of the kids before going to camp...

Nashville Sounds

We took Lanes baseball team to a Nashville Sounds game Monday. The team got to spend 30 minutes on the field with the Sounds playes before the game and also got to stand with the Sounds team on the field during the National Anthem. The kids all had a great team....

WHAT A WEEK!!!!

Let me start with last Monday (June8). I had just gotten back from a business trip and was a work and Brent had gone to church Camp in AL. I got a call that one of the boys on Lanes ball team little brother and just been killed (Hunter Roberts). So Monday and Tuesday I was with the family for the funeral. Then on Wednesday I got another call that A boy on Lanes ball team had been in an car accident (Zack Dabbs). Thursday we took some of the ball team to Children's Vanderbilt Hospital to see Zack. I was thinking to myself what would be next. I was at home with the kids all week by myself. Every time my phone would ring I was thinking "please don't let this be more bad news I just don't think I could take anymore". So Friday came and I was thinking it was going to be a great day. Brent was coming home and Sara Beth was going to get to play her first Softball game. While I was at work I got a call from Bro Dan from our church he was at church camp with Brent. So I knew as soon as I saw his number on my cell phone that something was wrong. Dan told me that I needed to come to the Hospital in Fayatville. That they had just taken Brent to the ER because he was running a high fever and was in alot of pain and they didn't know what was wrong with him. So I left work and went up there I believe I cried the whole way up there. Just thinking something bad was going to happen. Well come to find out it was just a kidney stone that he was passing they gave him some meds and sent him home. WHAT A WEEK!!!!

On a better note....
Friday night was Sara Beth's first softball game and see did great. The team she is playing for picked her up late in the season b/c they lost one of there players and needed her to have enough. She had never played softball before but has played baseball for 3 years. So we thought she had a good understanding of how to play.. My baby girl got on base every time and she also got the last out that won the game for the team!!! Go Sara Beth...
Saturday night was the awards for the season for baseball.. Sara Beth's team was playing for First place in the tournaments for 5&6 year olds. They lost by ONE run but they all did a great job.. Sara Beth got her first home run at the game. Lane's team was also going to play for first place in the tournaments. But with everything the team had went throw the past week the coach's thought that instead of playing the game that the two team would both get a First place trophy..

I just cant believe that my baby girl is going into 1st grade. We have ask for Ms. Thompson as here first grade teacher and see thought that since is had her Kindergarten celebration last night that TODAY she would be in Ms. Thompson class as a first grader. In a earlier post I told y'all that we got the kids 8 ducks for Easter. Well since then we have lost 3(not real sure how). It was so pretty yesterday that me and the kids took the ducks up to the pond at our house and let them play around. We had so much fun watching the ducks swim around. The kids loved being able to go out and play in the great weather they were out there from the time we got home from school until dark. Those were two dirty little kiddos by the time they came in!!!

Some Ladies from my Church got together Saturday and went out (no Kidd's..no Husbands). We went bowling and then out to eat then went back to the Church and played some games. It was so nice to be able to get together with good Christian ladies and be able to have a good time... We all agreed that we would did it again real soon!!

update:
My mom is still not doing well her kidney's are starting to fail her and the Dr came in yesterday and told us that she has the early stage of Alzheimer's. They cant do surgery on her yet BC her body is not strong enough. We know that we don't have much time left with her. The Dr told us five years ago that she only had about 2 years to live so we know we are coming to the end of the rd with her.

My mom was taken to Vanderbilt Monday night after she feel at her house. She is now in the ICU. She has bleeding in the brain and that can't get it to stop. So please just say a prayer that the Dr's will be able to stop the bleeding and she gets to come home soon!!

We had a great Easter and the weather was nice for the first time in several years. We started the day off by going to Church then we came home and went to Brent family for Easter lunch....Since the weather was so nice and we had all eaten to much we thought we would go outside and work all that food off by playing kickball..That was so much fun...I sure was sore the next day. Lane went back to the Dr yesterday and as soon as we walked in the Dr said "well he is walking much better....that's a good sign." The Dr did his exam and new x-rays and an new MRI... after the results came back the Dr said that he was very surprised at how well his knee looked and that he thought for sure that Lane would be in a brace and on crutches for a few months. But then he said something that Brent, Myself & Lane were all so happy to hear... I thank that you are all better Lane. You can go back to doing whatever you want...Lane still has to wear a new brace all the time but he can go back to playing baseball he was so happy to hear the Dr say that that he started crying a little. So today will be his first practice since he hurt his knee and he can hardly wait...

This is what I walked in to the other night while the kids were playing in the tub..Good thing that the markers they were using were washable...They love to use those Crayola markers for the bath tub...just a little water and it wipes off!!!

Easter came early

We had decide last year to get the kids a few ducks for Easter but when we went to get them they were all SOLD OUT!!! So this year we went early to get them and we were going to keep them a secret until Easter but its kinda hard to hid them so we went on and gave them to the kids. Our plan is to let the kids raise them and when they get old enough to put them on the pond at our house. The kids are loving them they want to hold them all the time. We have tried to explain that the ducks are not like cats and dogs that you can't hold them all the time that it would kill them.. Sara Beth is so sweet with them she will just talk to them and watch them for hours...Brent and the kids are already talking about getting more after these get bigger..ummm I'm not so sure about that because when we got them I didn't know that I was going to have to be the "MOTHER DUCK" I have to clean out the cage(every day) make sure they have water and food...like I don't have enough to do around the house!!!

Sunday while at a friends house jumping on the trampoline Lane feel off and hurt his knee. We thought that he may have just wisted it and that he would be fine in a few days. All night Sunday he cried and would not put any of his weight on it so we thought that we should take him to the Dr (just to make sure) that everything was OK. After about 6 different x-rays and 3 different test the Dr came in and told us that Lane had hyperextensed his knee and that bc of that he now has a torn tendon in his knee. So my sweet baby is now in a brace that goes all the way down his leg and he has to use crutches. We have to go back to the orthopedic Dr in two week to see if that is working or to see if we may have to do surgery...I think the worst thing about it (to Lane) is that the Dr told him that he may not be playing baseball this year. My poor baby just started crying after the Dr told him that..We ask Lane what he wanted to do about ball practice today and he told me and Brent that he wanted to go and watch the team practice that just bc he couldnt practice didn't mean that he couldn't go and cheer for his team during practice today. I am so proud of him for saying that I just hope that when we get there its not to hard on him to just watch and not be able to play (he LOVES baseball). So please say a prayer for Lane that his knee will get better and that when we go back to the Dr that everything is working right and that he will be able to get back to doing what he loves...

Baseball has started back up...That means bye bye afternoons of not having anything to do but watch TV and go to bed. Sara Beth has practice on Monday & Fridays and Lane has practice on Tuesday & Thursday...Sara Beth told me last night after her practice was over that since this was her 3rd year on the team that she was going to be the "bestest" one out there..Here are a few pictures of Sara Beth's practice from yesterday!!!

This is Lanes teacher Ms. Thompson. Lane has had her for the last two years it's been great!!! She told all of us the other day that she was pregnant and due in Sept.. YAY!!! Ms. Thompson

Today is Lane's Birthday he's 8...WOW...We took some of his friends to pizza hut and bowling after church yesterday... Those boys are fun little people when you get about 5 together. We are going to my moms house tonight for more pizza and cake... I was telling Brent last night (while I was crying) that if the next 8 years goes as fast as the last 8 years that we will have a 16 year old before we know it..

Last weekend Sara Beth and Lane went to a swimming party at the rec center here in town. This was the first time that they have got to go swimming since they started there swim lesson. Lane did great he went all over that pool!! Sara Beth not so much!! By the time the party was over I had two sleepy kids. We had swim lesson for a hour then right after that was the party so they were in the water about 3 hours that day. You can see in one of the pictures that Lane had, had all the fun he could handle for one day!!!

Last night we were at home and I must have been a little moody and Brent said " Betty whats your deal are you p.m.s"ing" I replied with a quick "Yes, so leave me alone". That was the end of our conversation with each other. Well this morning I was taking Lane into his class and his teacher said hi to me and I said hi back, but before I could get anything more out of my mouth

Lane says....
Lane: I wouldn't talk to her today!!
Ms. Thompson: Why not Lane?
Lane: Because she's in a bad mood today.
Ms. Thompson: Why Lane did you put your mom in a bad mood.
Lane: Nope Daddy says she is p.m.sing and to leave her alone!!
Ms. Thompson: Oh I understand!!!

I wasn't really sure what to say at that point other then I was sorry she had to know that about me. She just smiled and told me that was OK.

Last night we went to Bounce U in Murfreesboro for a birthday party.. We had never been there before but we will definitely go back we all had a great time. We probably had more fun then the kids..Its a great place to have a birthday party it was all very organized and very safe. It's for all ages and lots of room to run around and be crazy!!!

This sweet baby is Harper. If you remember she is the one I posted a prayer request for last week. Well God is good Harper is doing so much better. I just felt that if we ask God for something and that when he answer's that prayer (and he will on his on time)no matter what the out come is that HE should get all the glory and praise for what HE does. It seems like we are all so fast to ask God for something but how many time do we stop and really thank him. Basically this post is just to thank the Lord for all that he does for me and for what he has done for the Stamp family..

I have come across so many different blogs since I started mine. It's always net to see what is happen in other people lives. I have came across one family that has just broken my heart. The Stamp family I have just marveled at the faith that this family has in God.
From what I understand this sweet family has been trying so hard to have a baby and they final were able to get pregnant. Well she had her sweet baby girl Harper on Friday. Harper is very sick and is in critical care. This family has ask for prayers for there baby girl. Swim Lessons

Lane & Sara Beth are taking swim lessons at the Rec Center here in Shelbyville. There first lesson was on Saturday. There teacher is Ms. Pam we were the only ones signed up for the class so the kids will each get more one on one time. We felt it was very important for the kids to know how to swim if anything were to ever happen. They both did very well for there first lesson.

Last night we were about to start eating dinner and Brent had just got the food out of the oven. He had told the kids that it was hot and to be careful... Everything was going good we were talking to the kids about there day at school and about what we were doing this weekend... Well I was just about to take my first bite of food when what do we hear come out of Sara Beth mouth "DAM IT my food is hot"!!! What in the world? She is only 6 and already saying cuss words... My oh My... Well after me and Brent picked our mouths up off the floor. We had a talk with her & Lane both about why cuss words were not nice to say!! There is no telling where she hear that from,but one thing is for sure is didn't hear it from us.. Kids you never know what they will say:-)

Well another Christmas has come and gone. It's hard to believe that it's almost 2009It is always so fun to go to all the Christmas parties and be with the one's you love the most during Christmas. Our kids as always had way to many presents. I love being able to spent that time with them because I know that they are only small for a short while. I think that I have as much fun on Christmas as they do to see the look on there face to see what Santa has brought them!!! Since Sara Beth is now in Kindergarten this was her first year to have a "Christmas Party" at school. It took me and Brent both to do the parties this year one of us had to stay with Lane and the other with Sara Beth. Before she was in school it was easy me Brent and Sara Beth would all go to Lane's parties. So between running from Sara Beth's class room and back to Lane's room I really did not get to see much of the parties this year, but I did get a few pictures made from both parties.

Now here are some pictures from Christmas day at our house and Christmas eve at my mom and dad's house. Also from Christmas on Brent's side of the family!!!

My baby girl turned 6 on Dec 6... WOW 6 I can't believe it... We had a fun weekend First off I took some cupcakes to Sara Beth school on Friday and then I took her to get a manicure and pedicure. Let me just say she LOVED that.

We had told Sara Beth that she could have a few friends over to stay the night on Saturday and we would take them all out to eat and to the Parade here in Shelbyville. We told her to pick anywhere in Shelbyville to eat and the child picked Burger King of all places to go!!! The girls all had a great time together and really liked the parade.
Here are a few things that I learned over the weekend with 6 little girls....
1) 2 kids are enough for me (1boy 1 girl)
2) girls don't play together as well as boys! i.e. "mom... she said she wasn't my friend anymore"... "Ms. Betty..I had that baby doll first".... "mom I don't want them to play with my toys"...
3) Before I have that many kids over again I will have to have a bigger house!!
4) Girls need more sleep than boys do!!!
5) If church starts at 10 you have to get up at 6 to get all 6 girls and yourself ready just to get there by 11!!!

OPRYLAND

Sunday night me and my family went to see the Christmas lights at Opryland. We all had a great time. We all laughed when we left there because we thought we could go and see all the lights and have a good time all for FREE!! WRONG 57 dollars later we left Opryland. $20 to park, $20 to ride this boats (the kids just had to ride) and then the kids were yelling they wanted something to eat and drink so that set us back another $17. But hey I guess we know now that $57 will buy us a good time.

OK..OK I know it has been awhile. Sorry, it seems like time goes by so fast and before I knew it, it had be a Month since my last post (thanks Holli). I'll try to do better. Things have been crazy around our house lately. So lets see where do I start ummmm...Well we had our last football game two weeks ago Lane's team was in the top 3 not bad...Lane had his first basketball game yesterday,and we won 22 to 4 it was so funny to see all those little boys running around.(see pictures below). This weekend we went with Brent's family out to eat and to go see the movie Fireproof(best movie ever)for my birthday and Brent's Brothers birthday. We all had a great time together. I don't know about your family but it seems like my has been sick forever. It started with Sara Beth she came home last Monday from school after they had been to the pumpkin patch all day and she had a fever... Brent told her that he thought that she had pumpkin patch fever(OK let me tell you something NEVER tell a 5 year old something that's not true because they will believe it)so I stayed at home with her on Tuesday and Wednesday when she went back to school her teacher ask if she felt better and what had been wrong with her. Sara Beth told her yes she felt better and that she had got that "Pumpkin Patch Fever" the look on that teachers face was priceless!!! Then on Friday Lane came home with a fever but after some Tylenol and a four hour nap he was fine. Then yesterday I woke up with a fever what the crap is this stuff going around...

Bahama's!!!

Well we just got back from probably one of the best trips we have ever been on.....

This was Brent and I's first time to the Bahama's. It was beautiful in some parts others not so much. The weather was gorgeous, the beach was amazing and the food was divine...we had such a great time. We went on Carnival Imagination the ship was amazing and let me just say the staff was great I wanted to bring all of them home with me. Each day when you would leave your room they would come in and clean everything up and make the bed. Then if you came in to change or just lay around a little bite once you left your room they would come back in to you room and fix the sheets on the bed and pick up whatever was on the floor or bed..Every night they would come turn down your sheets and put a mint on your pillow and make some type of animal out of a towel....AMAZING!!! who could ask for more?!
My favorite part of the whole trip was when we went to Nassau and went swimming with the dolphins wow what such gorgeous animals..and went to a great water parks. This water park was voted to be one of the best top 10 in the world!!! Nassau was so pretty alot of famous people have homes there. And some of these peoples boats where bigger then my house...
I have to say that it was so nice to have a break from being mommy and to spend such fun quality time with my hubby!! It was such a rejuvenating, relaxing and much needed trip!!

We started off the weekend with a trip to Chuck E Cheese with some of Brent's family to celebrate Sara Beth's best friend Julie Beth's Birthday. Sara Beth and Lane both had a great time and the best part was that for a Friday night there weren't that many people there. So keeping up with two kiddos by myself was not as hard as I thought it would have been... Brent was not able to go because he was getting our jeep ready to go to wooly's offroad park the next day...

The funny thing about this one picture is that Sara Beth thought the point to the game was to "sling" the ball up to the holes..so as you can see she has that arm all the way back.. if you look close up on the pink part you can see the ball in the air..I was showing her the right way to play the game..She tells me mom just because that's the way you play it don't make it right...five year old's they think they know it all....

This is my new great niece Miss Chloe Ann Clanton.. She was born yesterday Aug 20th at 2:16... She weighed 8 pounds 8 ounce... My niece Chelsey did great during the whole thing... She pushed for 15 mins that's right I said 15 mins people....WOW....

One baby down and two more to go.. My sister-in law is having TWIN boys!!! We are all anxious about meeting the two little guys... Oh and get this they will be born on MY birthday Oct 28th how stinking cool is that!!!!

First day of Kindergarten...

Sara Beth's first day of Kindergarten was Monday. I can't believe its already time for her to start. She got up and was ready to go in about 10 mins never have I seen her move that fast... She got everything ready to go. I was telling her what she would be doing today, I told her that she would only stay until 12 but that she would get to eat lunch in the cafeteria...Thinking that I would get a comment like the cafeteria wow great...no this is what she had to say..." oh no what color milk I'm I going to get today"...she then said I need to call my daddy and ask him a question so we call daddy and she said daddy what color milk should I get today white, chocolate, or, pink (strawberry)??? Brent said WHAT... so Sara Beth tells Brent about getting to eat at school and she just doesn't know what color to get...Well after about 5 mins of talking about milk... Brent said you go to school three days this week so get a different color each day..everything fixed right? WRONG!!! what color should I start with... Then Brent said I don't know get the "PINK"...well with that out of the way we could make our way to school... We got to school and Sara Beth said mama you can just drop me off... UMMM NO....She said well OK but you can't cry...me cry..well OK maybe I did when Lane started school but I really thought that I had it all together today...We went into her class room and found a seat and was putting everything up...still no tears...I was just about to tell her bye when Ms. Mayo her teacher came up to me and gave me a letter. This is what it said..

The First day of Kindergarten

Well after that little note I had a small brake-down...Sara Beth said see this is why I wanted you to drop me off at the door...I got myself back together and gave her a huge and kiss...off she went... When she got home that night she had so much to tell us about..but the first thing that came out of her mouth was" I got WHITE milk today"....

First day of 2nd grade

My baby boy is now in second grade. He was so excited to start back to school so he could see all his friends. The cool thing about this year is that he has the same teacher (Ms. Thompson) that he had in first grade. All the same kids are in his class also. The kids had a 2 hour day on Friday ( what is that about?) Monday was there first full day at school. I was anxious to get home to hear about the first day of second grade. When I got home Lane was asleep. I knew something was up because Lane doesn't go to sleep well at night much less in the middle of the day. Brent said that he had to go get Lane early for school because he was running a fever of 103.4 and his head was hurting!!! Brent took him home and gave him some Tylenol. Lane told Brent that he was cold so he was all covered up and asleep. I checked on him from time to time last night to make sure his fever was not up again. He went to sleep about 4pm yesterday and slept till this morning. I checked his temp. today and he didn't have one. He said that his head wasn't hurting anymore and that he was ready to go back to school.. I'm not really sure what that fever was about.... Maybe his first day of second grade was just a little much for him!!!!!

Since it was tax free weekend me and Sara Beth went shopping for school stuff. I can’t believe that it’s already time to start back!!! I knew what I needed and I was on a mission for just that shoes for Lane and Sara Beth. I thought that we could go get there shoes and be back home with in a couple of hours. I mean really how long does it take to get two pairs of shoes? Let me tell you it takes about 4 hours. Well maybe not that long if you have a child like Lane, I had ask him what kind of shoes he wanted before we went and he said “ whatever I don’t care” easy, easy. But my sweet little Sara Beth told me that she wanted some with PINK on them. I thought pink that should be easy enough… right? I was able to get Lane a pair at the second store we went to…So next it was time to look for a pair for Sara Beth. I knew after 3 pairs of pink shoes and she did not like any of them that we were going to have a problem!!! We looked and looked and looked. Oh yeah we found pink shoes but not any that Sara Beth liked. I had told her that we were going to try one last store and if we did not find any shoes for her then we would just have to try a different day. I could only take so much shopping for the perfect pink pair of shoes. Well we were at the last store looking and Sara Beth said to my surprise “mama I found my shoes” I turned around to see what she found and this is what Sara Beth found for school

Yes that’s right high heels that were $175.00. After about four hours of shopping and no pink shoes that would work for little Miss Sara Beth. We went home, Brent ask me when we got home and only had ONE pair of shoe, why did you not get Sara Beth a pair. I told him "Well because the only pair that Sara Beth found were $175.00". Brent almost fell out of his chair. So no shoes for Sara Beth we’ll try again soon.

Vacation Bible School ended Friday night and let me just say Weee-Whooooo I'm so wiped out who knew teaching 13 or so 5 year old's could be so hard. All the kids had a great time. The one thing all the kids loved the most was the music it was great. The kids said that there favorite song was YES to VBS!! Well some of the teacher thought that it would be cute to make up a dance to go with the song (yes Baptist dance too) well some how me and Brent were added into the dance. Let me just tell you kids love to see adults make a fool out of themselves..And that my friend is what we did!!!! But hey its for the kids right???? (that's what I kept telling myself) This type of behavior is very normal for Brent but not Me.. Here are a few picture from the last night.

Today I took Sara Beth for her Kindergarten check up at her Dr's. Office. I can't believe that its already time for her to start school. Lane said that he wanted to go with us so I let him go BAD MISTAKE... we were on our way to Murfreesboro and the kids were in the back seat talking to each other when Lane said (just out of the blue) "sissy when you get to the Dr. they will have to give you like a million shots in your butt so you can go to kindergarten." Well that was all it took Sara Beth just started crying and saying I don't want a million shots mama!!! Thinking that she had all the shots she needed for school I told her she wouldn't be getting any shots today. Well...I was wrong everything was going good at the Dr's office then Dr. Adams said "well now its time for the bad part of the visit" (as she pointed to her arm) Sara Beth not knowing what that meant just keep looking at her book when Lane said " Here comes all those shots" Sara Beth once again started crying. We made it shots and all. Dr. Adams said that everything looked good with Sara Beth and that she thought she was ready for school. When we got ready to leave the Dr's. Sara Beth said that she couldn't even walk and that I was going to have to carry her out to the car because of her shot in her ARM!!! Tell me what's a shot in the arm got to do with her legs... her arm was working fine when we got in the car and she hit Lane!!!

Sara Beth weighed in at 40.8 pounds and her height was 40.5 in.

On Friday night me and Brent and about 11 of our friends went on the General Jackson for our friend Kelly's Birthday.. We all had a great time being able to get together without all of our 7 kidos running around.. They had live music and the food was great... If you have never been on the General Jackson it's a great way to spend a Friday or Saturday night... Here are a few pictures from Friday night...

Things I have learned living in Tennessee....

a couple no one's seen before.

Brent went to church camp yesterday for a week... A whole week just me and the two kids..My poor babies were sooo upset all day yesterday because daddy was leaving...never mind that there mom was going to be with them.... It was ALL about dad...... I'm not sure how I'm going to do it all by myself this week... Lane and Sara Beth have to be picked up by 6 at s.a.c.p. Lane has baseball at 6 and I don't get off work till 6... Do you see something wrong with this picture.... The church ask me to go to camp as well.... here is my major complaint I had with that.... (1) I don't camp.....(2) I don't camp....(3) No AC.....NO Way......Brent told them that it was better if I did not go because when I get hot I get really moody (whatever)...I told Brent that if I was a stay at home mom (like I want to be) then I would not have to worry about getting the kids pick up on time... I don't think that he liked that to much...OK I'll get off my soap box now....Please pray that Brent and all the youth at camp have a safe and fun time....

So before Brent went off to camp this weekend we had a lot of fun. We had a few baseball games...after the game on Saturday we went to Brent's best friends house for his little girls birthday.

The kids had sooo much fun in the pool....

After swimming and Birthday cake the girls played dress up they were so sweet.....

And some not so sweet....

I am sure that I will not have time to post anything this week... So please say a little prayer for me this week that I make it without any problems...

Ok so this story was pasted on to me and I just had to share it with everyone. ENJOY !!!

Father/Son Marathon
A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?' The father who, despite having a heart condition, said 'Yes'. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Iron man together.' To which, his father said 'Yes' . For those who don't know, Iron man is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile marathon along the coast of the Big Island of Hawaii . Father and son went on to complete the race together.
